Da Mike (Michalis Balios) is considered one of the most talented DJs in the House music scene in Greece.
He joined Global Fantasy in 2012 and has already collaborated with some of the best House DJs and producers in the world.
Shortly before his appearance in Vandal in Pyrgos, he answers some questions … to get to know him better!

Hi Michael ! Tell us a few words about yourself first … you are and you are called … 🙂

Good evening, my name is Michalis Balios, I was born and live in Athens, I am a member of Global Fantasy, which is also based in Athens, and I am professionally involved in Djing and music production.

 

How did music and DJing come into your life, when did you start your career and what were your motivations?

From a young age I started playing music and Djing, it was the natural evolution of things. As a professional DJ, I have been in the field for the last 5 years as I count a total of just over 10!

 

I have a particular weakness for Funk, Soul, Jazz and Ethnic listening.

All of these items have contributed to the sound I represent today!

In which category of dance music would you classify yourself? and what kind represents you?

My music is House my sound Afro, Deep.

Tell us a little bit about how you feel when you’re behind decks? tell us about this feeling … the feeling !!

Whatever concerns me does not enter the booth with me, there I am, the music and the people in the space to listen to me! It’s something that fills me, gives me the opportunity to channel my energy into the audience and I wouldn’t change it with anything !!

 

A few words about your future plans, what is your relationship with social media, the internet and what is your opinion about Vanilla Radio!

I am in a creative phase and I have already signed two music productions, which are expected to be released in the new year. I have accounts on almost all social media, it is one of the advantages of our time as anyone can easily promote their work.

Finally, I wish Vanilla Radio to do the same good and quality work, to support good music and to give a step to all professional artists.

O Da Mike (Μιχάλης Μπάλιος ) θεωρείται ένας από τους πιο ταλαντούχους DJs της House  μουσικής σκηνής στην Ελλάδα.
Εντάχθηκε στην «Global Fantasy» το 2012 και έχει ήδη συνεργαστεί με μερικούς από τους καλύτερους House DJs και παραγωγούς στον κόσμο.

Λίγο πριν την εμφάνιση του στο Vandal στον Πύργο μας απαντά σε μερικές ερωτήσεις  …. για να τον γνωρίσουμε καλύτερα !

Γεια σου Μιχάλη ! Πες μας λίγα λόγια για εσένα αρχικά … είσαι ο και λέγεσαι … 🙂

Καλησπέρα , ονομάζομαι Μιχάλης Μπάλιος γεννήθηκα και κατοικώ στην Αθήνα, είμαι μέλος της Global Fantasy που εδρεύει επίσης στην Αθήνα και ασχολούμαι επαγγελματικά με τo Djing και τη μουσική παραγωγή. 

Πως μπήκε η μουσική και το DJing στην ζωή σου, πότε ξεκίνησες την καριέρα σου και ποια ήταν και είναι τα ερεθίσματα σου ;

Από μικρή ηλικία ξεκίνησα να ασχολούμαι με τη μουσική και το Djing, ήταν η φυσική εξέλιξη των πραγμάτων. Ως επαγγελματίας Dj βρίσκομαι στο χώρο τα τελευταία 5 χρόνια καθώς στο σύνολο μετράω κάτι παραπάνω από 10! 

Ιδιαίτερη αδυναμία έχω στη Funk, τη Soul τη Jazz καθώς και σε Ethnic ακούσματα. 

Όλα αυτά τα είδη αποτελούν ερεθίσματα κι έχουν συμβάλει στον ήχο που αντιπροσωπεύω σήμερα!

Σε ποια κατηγορία χορευτικής μουσικής θα κατέτασσες τον εαυτό σου ; και ποιο είδος σε αντιπροσωπεύει ;

Η μουσική μου ειναι House ο ήχος μου Afro,Deep.

Πες μας λίγο πως αισθάνεσαι όταν είσαι πίσω από τα decks ; πες μας για αυτή την αίσθηση …το feeling !!

Οτιδήποτε κι αν με απασχολεί δεν μπαίνει μαζί μου στο booth, εκεί είμαι εγώ, η μουσική και ο κόσμος που βρίσκεται στο χώρο για να με ακούσει! Είναι κάτι που με γεμίζει, μου δίνει την ευκαιρία να διοχετεύσω την ενέργεια μου στο κοινό και δεν θα το άλλαζα με τίποτα!!

Λίγα λόγια για τα μελλοντικά σου σχέδια , ποια είναι και η σχέση σου με τα social media το ιντερνέτ και ποια είναι η γνώμη σου για το Vanilla Radio !

Βρίσκομαι σε δημιουργική φάση και έχω ήδη υπογράψει δύο μουσικές παραγωγές, που αναμένονται να κυκλοφορήσουν το νέο έτος. Διαθέτω λογαριασμούς σχεδόν σε όλα τα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης, είναι ένα από τα πλεονεκτήματα  της εποχής μας καθώς ο οποιοσδήποτε μπορεί εύκολα να προωθήσει τη δουλειά του..

Τέλος, εύχομαι στο Vanilla Radio να κάνει το ίδιο καλή και ποιοτική δουλειά, να υποστηρίζει την καλή μουσική και να δίνει βήμα σε όλους τους επαγγελματίες καλλιτέχνες.
